At Optimod, we believe that success is never a solo journey. Some conversations shape the way we see the world. The right discussion at the right time can shift perspectives, open doors and spark something bigger than we imagined. True connections are built on trust, shared values and the willingness to exchange knowledge in ways that make a real impact.
With this post, our founder, Sara Kremsar is launching INSIGHTFUL CONVERSATIONS, a series dedicated to sharing real, thought-provoking discussions with people who challenge the norm, offer meaningful insights and bring genuine impact to those around them.
Below, Sara shares how it all began. As you read, take a moment to think about the people who have shaped your journey. The ones who showed up, shared their knowledge and made a difference. Because behind every great achievement is a strong support system, and that’s something to be grateful for.
I've only recently started actively using this platform, not knowing how much it would shape my journey. Since then, I’ve connected with so many incredible people, each with their own story, passion and drive.
One of them is Mohamed Al Banna. With Mohamed, we’ve had multiple conversations, each more inspiring than the last. Every conversation with him has been thought-provoking, eye-opening and most importantly, real. One of the conversations was about the power of networking, the importance of sharing content that truly reflects your values and the challenges of building genuine connections in a digital world that often feels distant.
His strategic and purposeful approach to networking inspired me to start "Insightful Conversations," a series where I share meaningful discussions with people who are authentic, challenge perspectives, share knowledge and bring real value.
… and the only right way to launch this series is with Mohamed, because he’s the reason I’m starting this in the first place.
Mohamed’s journey is completely self-made. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, but that’s what makes it inspiring. He’s built, adapted and pushed forward, never losing sight of his vision, no matter the obstacles. After all, perseverance is his motto.
His career began in the finance sector, where he quickly established himself as a strategic thinker and leader. However, his ambitions extended far beyond the corporate world. With a keen eye for opportunities, he transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding and investing in multiple businesses across industries. Today, he is a driving force behind innovative ventures in technology, investment and leadership development, mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs and guiding businesses towards sustainable success. His work reflects not just business acumen but a deep commitment to empowering others on their own journeys.
If you’d like to learn more about his work, you can visit his company website (www.leadventures.ae). But if you’re curious for a deeper look into his journey, the projects he’s involved in, and the ways he supports entrepreneurs, you can visit his personal website (www.mohamedalbanna.com), where you can also reach out to him directly or even book a session.
He wears many hats: serial entrepreneur, senior advisor, mentor, strategist, visionary… But out of all those, the one I’m most grateful for is being able to call him my friend. We both believe in the power of surrounding yourself with energetic, motivated people who push you to grow, and I’ve been lucky to have him as part of my journey.
After multiple virtual conversations, we finally had the chance to meet in person, on a Saturday out of all days, at the end of February. The weather was perfect for Mohamed to ride to the café on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which, if you ask me, was a perfect reflection of who he is: independent, driven and always embracing the journey on his own terms.

His journey with motorcycles started fifteen years ago, during a time that was not the easiest for him. Instead of letting those challenges weigh him down, he decided to tie them to something that might bring him happiness. That is why he got his license and bought his first BMW bike in 2011.
The lesson he learned and shared with me was this:
"If you feel down, think of one thing that will make you feel great if you do it. Once you achieve that, you will feel much better. Try it."
Most of the time, he rides alone, but every now and then, his wife joins him, sharing in the experience. And yes, he still has both his BMW and Harley, one for long, open rides through the countryside and the other built for speed.
Later, I learned that riding is his way of clearing his head, a moment of solitude in a fast-paced world. That made me appreciate his time even more. He could have spent that ride anywhere, yet he chose to be here, fully present, ready for another meaningful conversation.
We started with what it really takes to run a business in Dubai, when to take that step and when expanding to the UAE makes sense. But beyond strategy and opportunity, the conversation took a deeper turn. Mohamed introduced me to a few Arabic phrases, each carrying a meaning that went beyond words, reflecting values, culture and the way people build relationships.
As we talked about purpose, identity and the meanings we attach to different aspects of our lives,
Mohamed asked if I knew the meaning of my name. I’ve had this name my whole life, but I’d never really explored its deeper significance. His question sparked my curiosity, and it turns out that Sara (سارة) carries meanings of joy, happiness and noble heritage across multiple languages and cultures. It was a small but profound reminder of how much there is to learn, even about the things we take for granted.
The conversation flowed towards the concept of how relationships, in business and in life, are built on something deeper than just shared goals. From there, we spoke about trust, the people you can truly rely on and the ones who stand by you when it matters most.
Family naturally came up in our conversation. Mohamed spoke about the importance of blessings and how his parents' guidance has shaped his journey. He believes that staying connected with them, seeking their wisdom, and carrying their values forward is one of the greatest sources of strength. His words truly touched me, and having my mother there made it even easier to connect with them on a deeper level. It was a powerful reminder that success is not just about ambition or strategy but also about the people who have supported us along the way, staying in touch with them and receiving their blessings.
Another topic that came up was the belief that everything happens for a reason, and the that some higher power is always guiding us. That some moments, some choices and everyday challenges aren’t just coincidences but part of something bigger. That gratitude is not just about what we have but about recognizing when we are given a chance to act, to make an impact, to make a difference, to be a part in something greater than ourselves.
It was a conversation that truly left me thinking about purpose, connection and the unseen forces that shape our journey.

His journey is a true reflection of resilience, ambition and the power of relentless determination. It’s about grit, vision, and the mindset it takes to build something meaningful. A reminder that the path isn’t always easy, but with the right people and a clear purpose, anything is possible.
I highly encourage you to dive into his story, because if there’s one thing you’ll take away, it’s inspiration.
